🛕 Once considered the most magnificent temple on Earth, the Temple of Artemis stood proudly in the ancient city of Ephesus (modern-day Türkiye).

Built around 550 BC, it was dedicated to Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt and the wilderness, and became one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

With over 120 towering marble columns, breathtaking sculptures, and incredible craftsmanship, travelers journeyed from across the ancient world just to witness its beauty.

In 356 BC, the temple was deliberately set on fire by a man named Herostratus, who sought fame through destruction. Although it was later rebuilt, centuries of invasions, earthquakes, and neglect eventually reduced it to ruins.

Today, only a single reconstructed column marks the site where one of history's greatest wonders once stood.
