Regaining your budgie's trust after trauma

Sometimes a door is left open by accident or your bird somehow escapes - these things happen and it can cause a lot of trauma to your bird. If you do end up being able to relocate it here is my video documenting the start to regaining my budgie's trust back.

I should preface that I only had Louie for 5 or 6 months before this incident - he has one leg and was learning to flight train indoors. When I got him he was about 3 months old so he was fairly young. It took about another 3 months for him to fully trust me again. Birds are a very intelligent species & require mutual trust if you want to have a close bond.
