Firing Escalates At The Gaza Border: Israel's Gaza Ground Assault Begins Amid Israel Palestine War

The Israeli military continued its ground operations against Hamas in Gaza on Sunday in what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the second phase of the war which entered its third week. He vowed to "destroy the enemy above ground and below ground". Meanwhile, the health ministry in Gaza said the death toll in the Palestinian enclave has crossed 8,000.
