Biden 'may' address the media 'depending on what they ask'

White House press secretary Jen Psaki has again dismissed a reporter by claiming it “depends on what you ask” when the journalist questioned whether the president will answer their questions.

Jen Psaki attempted to leave her daily press conference when a reporter asked why Joe Biden hasn’t directly spoken to the media about Senator Joe Manchin’s decision to not support the Build Back Better bill.

Ms Psaki said he “may” address the media on the topic tomorrow when he addresses the nation on the surge of Omicron cases.

Another reporter then jumps in and asks “will he take questions?”

The press secretary quickly hit back “depends on what you ask”.

It’s another blow for press corps who are continually let down by Joe Biden’s inability to face the media.

Last week one reporter asked Ms Psaki on whether the president planned to host a press conference before the years end to allow media to ask questions.

The press secretary claimed she didn’t have anything formal in the diary just yet.

Journalists were so fed up in October they filed a formal objection with the White House over his refusal to take their questions.
