This is one of my favorite quotes. I feel like every time I do any outdoor activities, I grow. I come back as a new person. Hi there, My name is Nishan. I can officially call myself a hiker now since I can’t stand one month without hiking or doing any outdoor activity. A lotta people ask me "Nish, why do you love hiking, don’t you think it’s too much work?"
I love hiking because it reminds me how small we are, and yet also of our own significance. I've always been fascinated by nature and God’s creation. Specially as a photographer, it's so beautiful to construct these elements into a reminder of our connection with the Earth. I also enjoy the freedom of being outside and feeling connected to things other than humans. Hiking also has a sort of vulnerability and simplicity to it, which makes conversations and connections with people a little easier. The idea of hiking for pleasure is relatively new where I am from - Ethiopia, because people have always used walking as a means to get around. I want to tell a story and show people that life is so beautiful and hiking is one of the ways. I hope this vlog or my pictures on Instagram @Nish_35 can motivate you to go on an adventure.
