How to Impose a Saddle Stitch Booklet via Print Booklet in InDesign

The "Print Booklet" feature in InDesign is a massive time-saver for saddle-stitch booklets, but if you’ve recently upgraded to InDesign 2024 (especially on a Mac), you’ve probably noticed that the Adobe PDF PPD is missing.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to fix that missing PPD error and how to use the Print Booklet feature to automatically paginate a 36-page document into press-ready spreads.

Prepress Pro-Tip: Always double-check your total page count before starting. For a saddle-stitch booklet, your total page count MUST be a multiple of 4. If it isn't, InDesign will add blank pages, which might throw off your layout!
