Coronavirus: Canadian man in ICE custody dies after contracting COVID-19

A Canadian man who was among nearly 300 detainees diagnosed with COVID-19 at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility died this week.

The 72-year-old was awaiting deportation to Canada after serving a prison sentence. A judge ordered his deportation in May after being sent to a detention facility a month prior.

As Kamil Karamali reports, the man's family said he was diagnosed shortly before he was scheduled to return and are now demanding answers.
