INSANE 7,000 ft Mountain Swooping Hike and Fly GoPro MAX Film

Hike and fly adventure on 7000 feet high mountain! Short film 100% with GoPro MAX footage. Speedflying from over 7000 feet high mountain with aljaz salkic. Speedflying with gopro max and hero 8.

This short film is 100% captured with GoPro MAX. Created for ultimate gopro max footage test and review! I was super excited about low light gopro max test and some special super dark night gopro max capture capabilities. However I was really impressed by gopro max low light performance! Hike and fly is the most unique and versatile paragliding or speedflying category. What happens at hike and fly adventures is that you take all your paragliding or speedflying equipment pack it in your paragliding or speedflying backpack and hike up to a mountain. From there you pick best paragliding take off possible and prepare your paraglider or speedwing and other important gear. When you’re ready for take off… well all you have to do is run and soon you fly!

For most of short film b roll sections gopro max was set at hero mode 1440p with super wide lens option. As for action packed moments I set action camera mode to gopro max 360 video. However in final edit I reframed gopro max 360 video to fit in 1920x1080 final video export (short film) format.

The higher you go on hike and fly.. more tricky it gets. Last few months maybe even more… weather is very tricky… winds on mountains above 7000 feet are strong or from wrong directions. Paragliding wing in strong winds are not that safe so for this hike and fly adventure I packed my speedflying wing. To at least have some more chances for flying in case wind gets too strong.

Hike and fly to 7000 feet high mountain with paraglider or speedwing is special adventure. Especially in winter time… and now in this decade… “decade of tricky weather” … these moments are priceless.

I was super happy to catch that “perfect” weather window at the end… and happier for gopro max to capture that whole hike and fly adventure in short speedfly gopro max film.
