My EWC Experience

I've had so many of you asking if I recommend working at European Wax Center and what my experience was while being there. I worked there for a couple of years, both as a Front Desk Receptionist while in Esthetics school and then as an Esthetician. Pros: You get great experience waxing while working there. They have their own training program before you start waxing so you can get more comfortable before starting to take paying clients. Once you start officially working there, they have different level waxers (blue, white, orange and red. Blue being the lowest level, red being the highest level). The faster your waxing time gets, the higher the level you will become. Because you are waxing so much while working there, it definitely helps you become confident with your skill. By the time I left EWC, I had no worries/concerns about experiencing something that I hadn't already come across while at EWC. Cons: The products suck. They smell nice but that's about it. There aren't enough active ingredients in the products for them to be effective. I hated selling my clients their products but they would threaten to fire you if you don't. The pay was also horrible. They paid us barely above minimum wage plus a little per service/product sales. Definitely not enough for the amount of work they had us doing for them. This is just my experience so I recommend deciding what is best for you and your future. I am grateful for the experience, but would only recommend working there for about a year or so.
