A Homebrew Four Element 2 Metre Portable Yagi Antenna
This video clip describes my build of a four element 2m portable amateur band Yagi antenna. The antenna has a single reflector and two directors along with the driven dipole element. For the boom, I used a scrap offcut of 25mm plastic (cable) trunking with a clip-on lid. I used 1,000mm lengths of 4mm threaded steel bar for the elements
The video shows detailed photographs of the build followed by testing at two locations for transmit and receive. Full dimentions of the element lengths and spacing are given. This is a simple, inexpensive and easily repeated home construction project for the radio amateur.
