The January 6th committee has revealed that Donald Trump defrauded his own base of small-dollar donors into sending money to his campaign to fight election fraud legal battles while using the found money to fund his personal extravagant lifestyle and keep appearances up with Republican politicians and voters. Rep. Zoe Lofgren said on the record that the Trump campaign utilized the false election fraud claims as another fundraising scam since they knew the claims were false and continued to bombard supporters with donation emails for an "Official Election Defense Fund" that never existed, raising over $250 million in the process.
