WheelSim VR - E-wheelchair simulator for learning control and improving driving safety using VR

WheelSim VR is an app for learning and training e-wheelchair control to improve driving safety using VR (Virtual Reality) for people with disabilities. The app can be used with a PC or appropriate virtual reality glasses.

Proper operation of an e-wheelchair is critical for safety at home, on the road, and during recreational activities. This requires training at the beginning. The goal of WheelSim VR is to enable people with disabilities to receive such training safely and without much effort in the protected environment of a simulation.

The target group of WheelSim VR are persons who are to receive an e-wheelchair or have recently received one and would like to practice the correct operation safely.

Further target groups are therapists and wheelchair providers. The app is intended to support them in selecting the appropriate e-wheelchair model and to enable an assessment of driving and traffic behavior.
