The Los Angeles Chapter's CONVERSATIONS: GRAMMYs BRIDGES THE GAPS is a 3-part conversation series addressing hot topics in genre, craft, and industry amongst groups of music creators & professionals who share experiences through varying ‘generational’ lenses. Featuring diverse Recording Academy voices including new members, GRAMMY Nominees & Award Winners, legacy creators and executives from the Los Angeles Chapters’ P&E Wing, S&C Wing, GRAMMY U.

Dara Taylor has emerged as a fresh voice in the world of scoring music to picture as evidenced by her score to Amazon Studios film The Tender Bar, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker George Clooney. Her credits include the action crime drama Echo Boomers starring Michael Shannon, the Netflix series Bookmarks, the Universal/1440 animated feature Curious George: Cape Ahoy, the Karen Allen-starred film Colewell, for which she won a 2019 Hollywood Music in Media award, and much more. Dara is a proud Governor of the Recording Academy’s LA Chapter, as well as a member of the Television Academy, Society of Composers and Lyricists Early Career Committee, Composers Diversity Collective, Alliance of Women Film Composers, and Women in Media.

Roahn Hylton, also known as "First Born", is a music producer and film composer from Houston, Texas. He has produced on hit songs such as Nicki Minajʼs first Billboard Top 5 single “Super Bass”, and Ariana Grande’s “Honeymoon Avenue” Roahn has scored and composed for award winning shows “The Wonder Years”, “Vampire Academy”, and “Bel-Air”. Roahn currently serves on the board of SONA and is a member of the songwriters and composer committee of the Grammys.
Autumn Rowe, is a leading writer and producer and a powerful on-air personality and advocate for songwriter’s rights, Autumn Rowe won the Grammy Award for Best Album at last year’s ceremony for her extensive writing and producing work on Jon Batiste’s album “We Are.” She has collaborated with many of music’s biggest names, including Dua Lipa, Diana Ross, Pitbull, Zendaya, Ava Max, FKA Twigs, and Leona Lewis. Rowe is a celebrated vocal coach: she has appeared on The X Factor and on America’s Got Talent, where she served as the show’s only vocal coach for five years. Along the way, Rowe has become a prominent player in the fight for songwriter’s rights, serving on the board of Songwriters of North America (SONA). For her advocacy for women in music, Autumn was last year appointed a Spotify Songwriter Equal Ambassador and showcased on a Billboard in Time Square.
Kathryn Bostic is an Emmy nominated and award winning composer and artist known for her work on films, TV, theater and orchestral music. In 2016 she became the first African American female score composer to join the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Bostic's scores and songs can be heard in productions with a lineup of celebrated directors and writers. Emmy nominated for her original music in award winning films “Amy Tan: Unintended Memoir and “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am.”
Nija Charles, At only the age of 25, Nija is a prolific songwriter, artist, and record producer from Union, New Jersey. With her diverse pen, Nija Charles has already contributed towards 12 Grammy nominations, two number 1's on Billboard Hot 100 and has also landed a spot on Forbes "30 under 30" list. Her work with artists such as Beyonce and Jay Z, Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Meek Mill, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Chris Brown and Drake etc has secured her position as a creative powerhouse and tastemaker within culture.
