This is how they celebrate New Year in Siem Reap Cambodia ( first day) Yes, the first day of three.
It is beautiful and different I was expecting lots of fireworks but to my surprise there was none yes not even one. It was very different from where we come from that's for sure.
Here days before the new year the stores and pop-up stores on the streets take out different types of water gun different sizes and of course different prices.
We didn't know about this and we were wondering why there were so many water guns on sale. We thought maybe they are popular at the night clubs.
Finally someone told us at the hotel that we are staying at that they celebrate the new year throwing water to everyone for three days.
We thought it was okay just squirting water here and there. I invite you to watch the video and see how they actually celebrate.
It is crazy all day and night until five am.
