Finally, it is a dream for many writers or actors - to create something that is a tribute to a hero.

For the film star turned producer Rupert Everett it was Oscar Wilde. And he did it, though it was a labour of love and effort.

Made more difficult he told us today by a decline in his fame which he puts down, in part, to ageism in the film industry.
