Messi Sheepadoodle dog VS Male Raccoon

This is the second time Messi got suspicious of the BBQ. The first time I lifted the cover and opened up the bottom doors, I found nothing so I left it at that. Few nights ago, Messi was whining wanting to go outside, I thought it was a rabbit, but saw a raccoon staring at us, even stood up, looking tough and fearless. I looked away for few seconds and it vanished. This morning, we let him out to the backyard and he was at it at the BBQ again, I was sure something was there this time....

I realized the first time I checked the BBQ, the raccoon was probably right there underneath the cover, in the gaps where I didn't suspect. And that night when it vanished, it was probably hiding under the covers as well... Now, I can only hope without the BBQ, hes unable to climb up, and that my attic does not already have his wify and kids... I need a drone to inspect what damage they have done...
