Isomalt Eye Tutorial

Cut out two iris circles from the simi-cakes iris transfer sheet. Melt some clear simi-cakes isomalt into a small silicone bowl. Let bubbles settle. Pour a few drops into the eye mold until its about as big as the iris. Quickly place the iris, matte side down onto the isomalt and press gently with a toothpick or modeling tool until it’s flush with the isomalt surface. Let cool.
Instructinos:
Peel off the plastic backing with the tip of an x-acto blade. Melt some white isomalt in another container. Pour in the white isomalt over the clear. Let cool completely. Once cool, bend mold gently to remove eye. Lightly torch the surface to remove any cloudiness. Spray front and back with PME clear edible glaze to seal out any moisture and avoid the eye getting cloudy.
