Behind The Scenes: A look at the Ikeys’ successful Japan Tour - 2019 World University Rugby Champs

The FNB UCT Ikey Tigers secured their second successive World University Rugby Cup title in Japan. While it was a massive feat to achieve for many, for some, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, to travel to another country and experience a different culture.

The Ikeys share their experiences of what it was like touring in Japan and playing against some of the world's best university rugby teams in the World University Rugby Cup, to eating local food and, more notably, watching the Springboks take on New Zealand in their Rugby World Cup opening fixture in Yokohama Stadium as a standout highlight of the tour.
