Until Donald Trump, ‘nobody stood up’ to China
US President Donald Trump is correct to call out China considering Beijing is openly flouting international law, according to Sky News contributor Cory Bernardi.
It comes as President Trump ordered China to shut down its consulate in Houston within 72 hours following accusations of spy operations.
Mr Bernardi said China has been active in growing cyber intrusions in the West, has militarized the South China Sea, and has contravened numerous international laws.
“They’ve done it virtually unchallenged until Donald Trump came along,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“Good on him for … saying that the Chinese cannot be part of the international community and act in contravention to so many codes.”
