Abraham: The Friend of God

Abraham received a unique blessing in the Bible by being recorded as God's Friend. He is the only person to receive this blessing. But it doesn't come without question. James asserts that Abraham received this title through outward work while Paul suggests that righteousness is afforded us through faith. In this study, we attempt to examine this apparent contradiction and explain what James meant in James 2:21-24.
