Linocut Printmaking Tutorial 06: Printing a Linocut
Welcome to part 6 of the Linocut printmaking tutorial series! This series is an introduction to linocut printmaking, from start to finish. In this video, we are going to print by hand, print with a press, and transfer our image to a second block!
In this series, I'm trying to cover linocut printmaking for folks with and without access to a press. Not having a full print studio should not be a reason to skip printmaking! You can simply print by hand using a spoon, Baren, or any other smooth object!
In this video, we're also going to create a counterproof, which is a print, taken from a print. This is a great way to get your image onto a second block, and keep everything aligned just right! We will be making a two-color relief print in this series.
