Jack Slack - The Man behind the Name

Jack Slack is a familiar name ot anyone interested in combat sports today, but the name originally referred to the boxer who defeated the great Jack Broughton to claim the title of Champion of All England.

Despite successfully defending his title numerous times, and holding it for 10 years he was never considered to be a great fighter.

This video looks at how he came to claim the title, and why it was he was never thought of in the same way Broughton, Figg, or Mendoza to name but a few were.
