How to Replace the CV Boot on a Driveshaft - Clean & Grease + Band Installation | Tech Tip 25

Split CV boot? It happens. If you catch it early enough there's every possibility a good clean up, re-grease, & new boot will get you going again. That's what I'll be doing in this Tech Tip - cutting off the old torn boot, removing & cleaning the CV joint, then re-installing it with fresh grease & a brand new boot - finally securing it in place with some new bands. WARNING : things are about to get dirty.
