HHS Partnership Center Special Feature: Dr. Francis Collins + Pastor Rick Warren

There's no question about it: People of faith have been in the health business for more than 2,000 years. In fact, the Church was the first to establish hospitals during the first-century plagues.

Rick Warren, author and Senior Pastor of Saddleback Community Church, interviews Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D., Director for the National Institutes of Health, to discuss practical ways how faith communities can show hospitality to their own members and the surrounding community during today's modern-day plague: COVID-19.

This wide-ranging conversation touches on the latest information on COVID-19, pending results from Pfizer and Moderna, and aspects of the vaccines' research, production, testing, and distribution. Collins and Warren also address the ethical concerns about particular cells lines, as well as the mental health, substance-abuse, and economic challenges that have surfaced.
