Getting choked from the front by a strong, aggressive subject means you're gonna pass out in seconds. There is no time to strike and certainly no time to draw your knife or firearm.

Fred Mastro utilizes a quick and decisive escape from the front choke that will allow for rapid follow through using strikes or deadly force. This technique is alarmingly simple yet brilliantly effective. Try it at home but please exercise caution by starting out slow and increasing the intensity until you are comfortable. Fred Mastro is a practitioner of SDS (Silat Defence System) although the teachings follow more of a street fighting style. He has chosen to keep the name "Silat" in his system primarily out of respect and homage to his roots. Make no mistake, this is no traditional Silat. This is street proven, quick and decisive actions that incorporates some really dirty tricks.

Fred Mastro enjoys the fight. He teaches urban defense programs and is an instructor for multiple Special Police Units in Europe as well as training Belgian counter-terrorist units. He is also serves as personal security for multiple high profile VIP clients that has included 50 cent, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Jean Claude VanDamme, Snoop Dogg just to name a few.

Although considered a brother, he holds the distinction of the only person that Doug Marcaida fears...which says a whole lot!
