Landrover Discovery 4 Boot Latch Repair

This video shows some tips for replacing the actuator and latch for the top tailgate of a Land Rover Discovery 4, including how to get the tailgate open from the inside of the car if it is closed.

I found some key differences between the old parts and the new parts. One of these helped me alot, but the other proved to be a big problem.

Since making this video, this latch failed again, so I fitted an aftermarket latch kit from landroverpassion.com.
