Artists struggle with needing to admire and study other artists’ work to get better while not letting it discourage them from practicing. Art communities on social media can be amazing places for encouragement and inspiration, so I share how I enjoy them while avoiding the dangers of comparison and self doubt. I'll be painting in my studio and at a park I visited in Florida! The portrait I make in this vlog is the one I'm most proud of so far. I'm thrilled to be seeing progress in my painting skills from continued practice. I also had a wonderful time painting a little building "en plein air".
