Os Portugueses e os Minhotos: João Seabra at TEDxVimaranes

João Seabra, comedian, living in Braga since 1990 when he began studying at the University of Minho. In 2003, after participating in the 1st Stand Up Comedy Festival in Braga, decided to abandon his life as a computer programmer, and devote himself to humor.
Participated in "Levanta-te e Ri" SIC, with 44 appearances. In 2006 embraced a new project wen invited to be part of the newborn cable channel 'Porto Canal'. Since then works in Porto Canal, presenting the following programs: "Por um canudo", "Romarias", "Humor cão" and currently "Bolhão Rouge". Additionally to television, he travels the country doing solo performances of Stand Up Comedy, and in 2010 in Brazil, city of São Paulo.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
