Rajouri: Residents Urge Government to Maintain Dilapidated Gambhir Brahmana–Khankhari Road

Residents of several villages in Rajouri district have urged the government to undertake immediate maintenance and repair of the dilapidated Gambhir Brahmana–Khankhari road, alleging that its poor condition has become a major inconvenience and a serious safety concern for thousands of commuters. The six-kilometre road stretch, maintained by the Public Works Department (PWD), connects Gambhir Brahmana with Khankhari and serves as a vital link for the border belt. More than 5,000 residents, including students, patients, government employees, traders and transport operators, rely on the road for their daily commute.
