Paint a Moonlit Winter Night in Watercolor. Easy to follow and learn. With Peter Sheeler

Paint a Moonlit Winter Night in Watercolor. Easy to follow and learn.

Paper:
STRATHMORE
Strathmore 500 series Mixed Media Sketchbook.
This is a smooth, off white paper made from pure cotton rag.
Colors appear deep and saturated on this luxurious paper.

Paint:
Winsor Newton: Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine, Sepia, Yellow Ochre
da Vinci: Quinacridone Fuchsia and Phthalo Blue.
This is my usual "on the go" palette
but it can change to fit the subject.

Most of my videos are intended to show my favorite techniques, brushes, pens, papers and the different ways I use them. They are not a finished work of art but a demonstration of my processes, styles and just how much fun you can have with watercolor. They are suitable for beginners seasoned artists alike.

Painting Skies
Wetting the sky area is the most important
part of a smooth application of paint.
After saturating the sky area,
I allow the paper to dry to a dull sheen.
Then, wet it a second time. I don't apply paint until
there is only a slight sheen and no pools of water.
Once the sky area is ready l work quickly.

Thank you for Watching.
