Goat cooked in it's own skin.This beautiful white goat had a very good life. The first days of it's life it was looked after in the ger, in the evening and morning it drunk milk by mother goat. Later it joined the hurd, the herdsman brought them to the best gras and flowers. It was eating the whole day, in the evening the hurd came home to the ger. In wintertime, -50 degrees it was kept in the shelter, out of wind and cold, the hurd got extra dry grass and food, wich is very expensive in wintertime and difficult to get it, on the far away steppe of Mongolia. When there is thick snow on the steppe the animals cannot find the gras and have no food! The hurd is protected by the herdsmen against wolf and fox. Wolf and fox eat many animals in wintertime! So these herdsman work 24 hours a day 365 days a year with their animals. The herdsman don't eat much meat, most of the meat is sold, to buy rice and flower and food for the animals in wintertime.
This was a very special day, a few times in the year, they showed respect to the white goat, they say thank you! They shared the meat with family, friends and neighbours! Be thankful and respectful to all living creatures!! This is the lesson you can learn in Mongolia, all the parts of the animal are eaten, and the bones are for the dog and the birds of pray. It's the circel of life.
