Two days at Matagorda Beach

We decided to head to Matagorda for Memorial Day weekend. We'd never been before, and spent two days there, but stayed in a hotel in Bay City this time. It's a great beach with a lot of shells and soft sand that you probably should have a 4x4 to drive on.

Beach camping is allowed on Matagorda at no additional cost as long as you have a county beach parking permit on your vehicle. During the summer, you can pick up a beach permit at the beach entrance. You can find out more about Matagorda here: https://matagordabeach.org/
