A Dying Star from my Backyard Telescope #astrophotography #space

I took a photo of a dying star from my backyard telescope. The Crescent nebula is formed due to the fast stellar winds of a star in its center. The gas in this nebula was shed from a red giant around 250,000 years ago and now makes up what we know as the Crescent Nebula.

The first image was taken with an Askar 80PHQ and a Optolong L-Ultimate narrowband filter. The second image was a 5 panel mosaic I completed last year in 2024 using my Redcat51 refractor.
