Chaplin - Keaton - Lloyd Alley, Dedication Ceremony

On September 29, 2021, a dedication ceremony took place celebrating this historic alley where Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd made some of their greatest films. Located near the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and Cahuenga Ave., a plaque and sign were installed commemorating this important silent film era shooting location.

John Bengtson, a film historian who authored 3 books on silent film shooting locations, identified this alley as a favorite location in the silent era. I encourage you to watch his explanation of this important discovery here:
