2008 Chevy Impala: Gas Pump Keeps Shutting Off? FIXED! Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid Replacement

In this video, I show the real cause behind this frustrating problem on my vehicle and the exact part I replaced: the Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid. Replacing this part fixed the issue for me, so I can finally fill my tank without problems.
⚠️ Note: While this fix worked on my Impala, your situation may be different. There could be other EVAP system issues or check engine codes that point to something else. Here are some EVAP‑related codes you might see::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
P0440 – General EVAP system malfunction
P0441 – EVAP system incorrect purge flow
P0442 – EVAP system leak detected (small leak)
P0446 – EVAP system vent control circuit malfunction (vent solenoid)
P0447 – Vent control circuit open
P0448 – Vent control circuit shorted
P0449 – Vent valve / solenoid circuit malfunction
P0455 – EVAP system large leak
P0456 – EVAP system very small leak
If you get any of these codes—or others—you should diagnose the EVAP system (hoses, canister, sensor) to make sure there’s not a different root cause.
