Think about it. How often have you applied your makeup, used the exact same products and got an entirely different result! What's up? More times than not filters are used in everyday makeup video to enhance their appearance. This isn't just for cosmetics companies (who use it excessively) but for Youtube and Instagram also.
The purpose of a filter is to give the illusion that you have more 'flawless, poreless skin' than you really do. It gives the illusion the products you're using are better than they really are!
It's used over and over on Instagram. No pores. No wrinkles. No lines.
