Mike Holt: Explaining Turns Ratio in Transformers

Mike Holt discusses the relationship between turns and voltage in a transformer. Using an example of 20 turns in the primary at 480 volts, he explains that each individual winding turn is 24 volts. Similarly, with five turns in the secondary, the ratio is 4:1, but each winding is still 24 volts. This demonstrates how the voltage is distributed in relation to the number of turns in the transformer. Mike highlights the importance of understanding these relationships in transformer operation.
