On the other hand, wet AMD involves abnormal blood vessel growth beneath the retina, causing rapid and severe vision deterioration due to leakage and swelling.

Symptoms of AMD include night blindness, blurry or distorted vision, and eventual vision loss.

To mitigate the risk of developing AMD, adopting a diet rich in leafy greens and oily fish may be beneficial, as indicated by research. Additionally, supplements containing eye vitamins can help slow the progression of the disease, particularly for those in intermediate or advanced stages, although consulting a doctor for personalized advice is recommended.
