Thyristor Switching Module (TSM) is to achieve Transient Free switching of Capacitor Load.

DISTINCT FEATURES OF TSM:
➢ Transient free switching of capacitor bank by eliminating inrush current.
➢ Low Thyristor PIV and fast discharging of the capacitor during TURN-OFF.
➢ Intelligent gate driving without auxiliary supply. The gate power is directly drawn from the main line, making it suitable to drive any capacity Thyristor.
➢ Energy-efficient fan control using NTC-based temperature monitoring of the Thyristor heatsink. The fan becomes ON only above 55 0C and becomes OFF when the temperature goes below 50 0C. The APFC module will CUT-OFF the TSM above 75 0C and protects the Thyristor. ➢ Optically isolated interface of APFC relay command.

➢ Suitable for capacitor stage KVAR: 10, 25, and 50 KVAR
➢ External command/stage signal: 12 V DC
➢ Module auxiliary supply and ZCD: 1-Ø Y(L)-N 230 V, 50 Hz AC
