Cheesesteaks on the Camp Chef Flat Top Griddle

The first cook on the Camp Chef did not disappoint. We chose to do a classic with a twist. Cheesesteaks with filet and a horseradish cheddar cheese with onions and mushrooms on a toasted Garlic bun. Yum!

Heres how we made these easy Cheesesteaks on the Camp Chef Flat Top Griddle:
Ingredients:
1lb filet
8oz sliced mushrooms
1 med onion
5-7 slices of a Horseradish cheddar cheese
garlic paste
avocado oil - it's becoming my favorite oil!
mayonnaise

Directions:
Slice onion and mushrooms if not already sliced.
Thinly slice the filet. You can even ask your butcher to shave it for you... but that's the key to a great cheesesteak... thin sliced meat!
Preheat a skillet or griddle to medium.
Add about 2 tbsp of oil.
Saute' onions and mushrooms until about 2/3 tender.
Add about 1 tbsp garlic paste (I used the kind in the tube) to the skillet/griddle and immediately add your filet. Then don't touch it! Let the crust set up on the bottom. Flip when almost completely done to your liking.
Add the cooked onions and mushrooms to combine.
Spread some mayo or butter on your bread and add a little of that garlic paste. Then toast your buns, cut side down on the griddle or skillet.
Now add the cheese and let it melt. Gently combine meat, veggies, and cheese and BAM! Cheesesteak with Filet.
You can add as much toppings as you want. Tomato, Lettuce, Banana Pepper, Jalapeno etc.
