I show 16-inch MacBook Pro's real-world performance on MACHINE LEARNING algorithms

"Is 16-inch MacBook Pro good for Machine Learning?" "Which MacBook for Machine Learning?" - Many people have asked me these questions, so today I'm showing the real-world performance of the 16-inch MacBook Pro for machine learning algorithms!

First of all, what components in a laptop are important for machine learning? The answer is: CPU/GPU and RAM. So, does the 16-inch MBP have what it takes to take on machine learning beasts?

I'm running an unsupervised learning algorithm, k-means on a csv file with 1 millions rows and 50 columns (Btw, I have a separate video with a tutorial about this algorithm, check it out!).

If you're deciding between the 16-inch MacBook Pro and the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro for data science, I'm showing the real-world performance (e.g. the calculation speed) of both of these machines! The hottest question: "MBP13 or MBP16 for machine learning" answered with one video ;)

I also mentioned that there are some issues in FCPX on the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro. They're still not resolved...I have a separate video about that. For further info, check out this discussion on Apple's forum:

The models tested in review:
-my old 5-year old laptop ;)
-base 16-inch MacBook Pro
-2020 13-inch MacBook Pro with 10th gen Intel processor and 16GB RAM (the $1799 configuration)

So, now that we know which Macbook is good for data science...
...Happy Deep Learning everyone!
