DigiTech Polara Stereo Reverb Pedal Review by Sweetwater Sound
Get the DigiTech Polara pedal here: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Polara
Check out the DigiTech Polara! It's got seven different studio-grade, Lexicon reverbs that enhance your guitar sound without getting in the way. Level and Decay control the amount and hang-time of the reverb. Liveliness not only makes the reverb either darker or brighter, but also affects the size of the space: a bigger, brighter or smaller, darker room for example. The Tails switch in the "on" position allows the reverb to continue after you've bypassed the Polara with the footswitch, which is handy if you're using a long reverb and don't want an abrupt cut-off.
The Room, Hall, Plate, and Spring settings all sound very accurate and musical; they do exactly what you'd expect and want them to do. The Reverse and Modulated settings are really cool and a nice, welcome surprise on a stompbox reverb. I must say that the Halo setting is where this pedal really shines; playing even one note sounds instantly epic!
The Art Nouveau-ish design on the pedal is cool and distinctive-looking and would be a real standout on your pedalboard. The soft-click footswitch and included rubber knob-protector to guard your settings are nice extras that help in performance. I had fun with this one, I could play the Halo setting for hours. Thanks for watching!
