Shaun Evans transforms into DS Morse in first look images from Endeavour season eight

Season eight of ITV's detective drama Endeavour has started filming in Oxford.First look images from the set were revealed on Tuesday, showing Shaun Evans as he transformed into DS Morse for the day's shoot.The actor, 41, looked sombre as he got into character for a scene that saw him cross his arms and wore a grim expression. Shaun dressed up in a black suit and matching trousers that he teamed with a cornflower blue shirt and a black tie. While not filming, he made sure to adhere to strict Covid rules by wearing a surgical face mask while speaking with the crew and when cameras were no longer rolling. As well as reprising his titular role, Shaun is also directing the first three films of season eight, and it appeared as if he was filming one of these stories on the first day of shooting as he was seen directing the crew.   Shaun will be joined on set by Roger Allam, who plays DCI Fred Thursday in the show, and the new episodes will no doubt see them address how they were at odds ...
