Double Dan Horsemanship presents Long Reining Level 1 training DVD

This DVD is designed to help you develop the basic long reining knowledge and skills you will need as a trainer and begin performing fundamental maneuvers with your horse. As we complete these exercises you will learn how to; position and adjust each piece of long reining equipment, place the long reins in your hands, the hand over fist technique, and the correct orientation of your body to your horse. You will learn how to desensitize you horse to the feel of the rope and other foreign objects about his legs and develop softness and responsiveness in the bridle. You will progress from indirect to direct reins, changes of direction, and develop the skills required to teach your horse to engage his hindquarters. By the end of this DVD you will begin developing three track movements in preparation for more advanced long reining and ridden maneuvers. The ultimate goal of this DVD is to teach you, the trainer how to safely and effectively long rein and develop your comfort and confidence level so that you can perform the exercises taught in this DVD with precision and grace.
