In this Old Country (formerly Out of Town) programme Jack Hargreaves in this programe talks about how workers took cider out to the fields and then shows us how the cider apples are pressed to make cider.

Cider Making comes from Old Country Series 3 which I made with Jack in 1985 for Channel 4 Television. Old Country used the same format as Out of Town which had been broadcast on Southern Television for over 20 years. The only real change was the name. Even Jack’s shed was the same one that had been used in Out of Town.
