🌪️🌊⚓Kayak Fishing Heavy Winds 🌪️🌊⚓(40kph) (25mph)🌪️🌊⚓ Wabamun Lake, Alberta (walleye fishing)
What a day! I decided to take the kayak to one of my favorite sports with my Malone kayak cart. The jumbo wheels managed to roll along the tracks no problem at all. Winds were heavy and the bite was tough for the entire day. I drifted non stop. Water was slightly choppy at some points but the kayak cut through the waves just fine. I tried to fish in areas with cover for some wind protection which definitely helped. I caught a nice walleye right inside a canal as soon as the wind died down. Bait of choice was Uncle Josh's brined minnow on a dropshot rig on 10 pound p-line mono fishing line, wrapped on a quantum smoke reel and quantum smoke medium fast action rod.
