Kilimanjaro World Record

World record of fastest female climb of Kilimanjaro in 6h 52 min 54sec from Mweka Gate.

Kristina Schou Madsen and Josephine Dewett started from Mweka Gate at 6 o'clock in the morning the 23rd February 2018 and was followed and accompanied by a team from Zara Tours and Charity and Danish Topas Travel with Simon Grimstrup.

Josephine, Kristina and the team ran together until Mweka Camp where Kristina speeded up towards Millenium Camp accompanied by Simon and felt strong and kept her time schedule towards Barafu Camp in 4673m. They made a short stop to eat, drink and have more clothes on and kept on going to the top.

Kristina reached the top at 12.52 pm with Simon and the rest of the team a few minutes behind. At the top she was met by a group of tourist who filmed and took pictures with here iPhone as you see as the last part of the film.

Kristina Schou Madsen beat the world record reaching the top of Kilimanjaro in 6h 52min and 54 sec from Mweka Gate beating the former record af Fernanda Marciel in 7h08 from Umbwe Gate

Team: Josephine Dewett, Simon Grimstrup, Lukas, Dustan, Freddy and Freddy's team of guides.

The World record was documented by two Garmin GPS watches, SPOT tracker, GoPro cameras, iPhone pictures and witnesses all the way to the top and the record is accepted by International Skyrunning Federation(http://www.skyrunning.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Best-wk-Performance-record-10-4-2018.pdf)
