Busselton Squid and Herring Mission| Caravan Fishing Rod Build | Y2EP21

We finally get a patch of decent weather and punch out from Busselton in the South-West for a feed of squid....unfortunately not all (most) fishing trips go to plan and the squid just were not into it. So we switched over tactics and managed to bag ourselves a few herring on the trawl with Simo's special lure.
I preserved these and vacuum sealed them to hopefully upgrade these into Spanish Mackerel once we head north again.

I started another fishing rod build in the caravan for a mate of ours. This is almost an exact spec rod of my daily use setup I take with me. A great little all-rounder that can handle most inshore species. Can't wait to finish it as she'll be testing it out in a couple of weeks!
