Meet Donald & Carol McClintock from Oklahoma City. They visited Monreagh in search of their Rankin, Anderson , Rutherford, Greer, and McClintock ancestors, all of whom came from Ulster. Great couple.
Donald McClintock was born in San Diego, California. His grandfather, Winfield McClintock, was the son of a Windfield McClintock, who was a son of a Matthew McClintock, an immigrant from letterkenny, County Donegal.
Matthew McClintock was born in Letterkenny around 1806. He married Susan Appleby in Philadelphia about 1830 and their oldest child was a Jane McClintock born in Philadelphia. The rest of their 10 children (including Don's great-grandfather, Winfield) were born in Baltimore.
Donald's father, Ferdinand McClintock, was also born in Baltimore. Ferdinand's father (the second Winfield) left Baltimore and went to Canada trying to get a piece of land in Canada off of the Canadian railroad development that was going on. in 1910 it was a very bad winter and they moved to Portland, Oregon and they gave birth to a third Winfield Mcclintock
