Spartherm Ebios Fire Passo E bioethanol upright stove

During our visit to the Hearth & Home show in Harrogate earlier this month, we had the opportunity to see the Passo E upright stove from Spartherm's ebios-fire® range.

The Passo and others from the range offer some considerable advantages over conventional stoves and fires in that they require no flue for the release of exhaust gases, therefore no chimney is required, nor air brick exposing your room to the cold outside.As they are fuelled by bioethanol, there is no need for a gas connection and the products of ethanol combustion as carbon dioxide and water meaning no sooty residue on your glass to clean and no odours.

The Passo E is available in a range of colours, some of which can be seen in the video and, if an upright stove is not for you, there are many more designs to choose from in the range.

ebios-fire® fireplaces are exclusively fuelled with bioethanol – or simply “ethanol”. Bioethanol is a non-fossil fuel
with a neutral environmental track record made by fermenting the sugar and starch components of organic matter
– mainly sugarcane, potatoes and crops like grain or even hay.
